Located just a 10 minutes walk outside of Villavieja, this beautiful cabin works great as a starting point for exploring the area. It has a great bed, amazing bathroom, a kitchen, a TV, air conditioning, and a laundry machine. There is a good, local restaurant almost next door where you can eat, or you can go into town.

Definitely the best hotel in Villavieja. Not a Ritz either but solid 3 stars. Quiet location, yet only 3 blocks from the center. Spacious rooms with well working AC and very good mattresses. Nice atmosphere - upscale traveller style, free indoor parking, little pool, nice patio. Very friendly and helpful owner and nice personnel. THE place to stay in Villavieja...

The owner was fantastic. We are vegan and vegetarian and he went through all meals with us to make sure we were happy with what we would get and that he was making enough food for us. The hostel is about 1km from the main village but it’s very walkable both during the day and at night. Would highly recommend this place if you are going to the Tatacoa.

This was such a sweet place to stay. It’s run by a lovely family who helped us with everything we needed. You walk out and you’re at the red desert and a short walk from the observatory. It was perfect for us.

We loved our time!! Such a wonderfull secluded place with cute cozy glamping houses. We really loved ours with balcony and shower in the house but still like being in a treehouse. We wish we had more time to stay.. lying in the hammock was our favo moment. Watching stars and the full moon. The 2 ladies that run the place in the day are such a gem.. so accomodating with all your wishes. They go out of their way to give you a great experience! Also the night guy was very nice and helpfull. All of the staff is 5 star worth.. they checked on us before we arrived untill we left. If you seek for an off the beaten experience in the desert in all comfort choose them. We had a magical time

This hotel is truly amazing!! Very romantic with great desert views and a gorgeous pool. The staff was amazing and had great attention to detail. Highly recommend staying at least 2 nights to be sure to see the stars and enjoy a full day with the guide provided by the hotel. Also appreciated that they sent the guide to show us the way to the hotel once we arrived at villavieja. Would stay again.

Gloria and her family were the most welcoming people we met at Colombia. The place is extremely clean and comfortable, exceeding all expectations. Shower is great, a fan is enough to sleep in a cozy blanket, Gloria and Hormer will help you with anything you need to visit the desert, but by far the most amazing thing we did was to know the amazing work they are doing in their "Finca"to restore the vegetation and bring back the native animals.

The family cooked us a great breakfast and dinner (I'm sure you could have lunch if you wanted it) everyday for a reasonable price. Beautiful hostel with lovely, clean facilities. Perfect for an escape to surreal surroundings, away from people. 1hr walk to the grey desert, would recommend. We walked to the grey desert (there's a little bar about half way) then spent the day there in the natural swimming pool. Our hostel organised horse riding from the hostel, a visit to the astronomy auditorium at night and a tuk-tuk to take us to the red desert and then back down to the village.
