Wonderfully restored property in the Newari style close to Durbar square. Great terrace with delicious breakfast served to the table by very nice staff. The room is very beautiful, very large, well decorated, in good taste. Keep in mind that Newari style has low ceilings :-) and adapt to it. The Newari windows were gorgeous, nice to sit in the rocking chair next to the window, in the morning. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.

Mr. Pradeep and family welcomed me with a warm smile when I reached the property. I immediately felt at home. It’s a beautiful traditional Nepali house just 3 minutes from Patan Durbar square for anybody who likes to experience this unique place. Equipped with fridge, kettle, water, fresh towels, slippers etc. it’s a traditional house so do not expect huge luxurious bathrooms but it is clean and small. The hearty breakfast served by the host and conversations are priceless. I stayed here for 2 days and had the best time. I highly recommend to anybody interested in unique traditional stay experience.

Charming little hotel right beside Durban Swuare Patan, the best Thali dish in the restaurant I had in all my travelling in Nepal. Loved it. Also good for solo travellers as other people are solo and chatty! Not in your face but just v friendly! The owner is chair of the Katmandu Preservation Trust and passionate about restoring old buildings

We had a very short one night stay in this hotel, but it really did an impression on us. This hotel is ancient compared to where we stayed in Nepal before. The historical atmosphere of this place is definitely worth the money. The traditional architecture, furniture, in room amenities are very rare in hotels. No elevators, but the staff will carry your luggage up the stairs.
We really enjoyed it.
The reception staff was very helpful, everything was well organised. If you stay in Patan area, I really recommend this place.

This hotel is a gem. Located in the most beautiful town of the Kathmandu Valley, a few steps from the most beautiful square in the area, and away from the traffic and noise of the busiest streets, it is the ultimate choice for a stay in Nepal.
The rooms are clean and spacious, our apartment was provided with a fully equipped kitchen.
The staff members are extremely friendly yet very professional.
Very good breakfast, it is also possible to have a quick lunch in the hotel restaurant.
This was my second time in Timila Hotel and, should I be back in Nepal, it will be my place again.
