This is a totally lovely place, 200 years old and formerly a Muslim mansion, very fortunately unrestored except for electricity and suchlike. Those who needed to use outside lavatories and shower would have found them entirely functional and clean; but those only interested in being pretentious should go elsewhere. It is perfectly quiet, except for the usual catawauling from a nearby mosque, as to be expected. The location as regards anything that could be called central in a city so spread out as Chennai, is good.

What a gem of a hotel! From the efficient check-in/check-out process, each moment was delightful. We had a room on the 3rd floor. The A/C was great, you get the remote to control it yourself and was available the entire day. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was alright. Very good value for money.
