The location is perfect near the train station and it is a really lovely place to stay in. The staff were very welcoming and it was lovely to be able to avail of the Swedish fika in the afternoons on our return to the hotel. The courtyard outside is also a bonus. We had requested a quiet room and our room was perfect. Finally, the breakfasts were excellent.

Gym access is free for guests. Liseberg Amusement Park is 1.5 km away. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed and high-quality linens. The bathroom, featuring double sinks, was also very roomy. The location is excellent, and the historic building has plenty of character and is beautifully decorated. Breakfast and the restaurants were outstanding—one of them even has a Michelin mention. Every member of the staff was attentive and welcoming, especially a young receptionist with blonde hair and blue eyes who mentioned she was a student. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest hotels in Gothenburg.

Featuring bright and airy décor, all of Hotel Vanilla’s rooms have a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Some also have a kitchenette. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped in. There was no lift, but our cases were brought to our room immediately. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of space and an excellent bathroom. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice and plenty of it! The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was walking distance to the railway station and the old part of the city. The whole hotel was lovely, with tasteful decor and attention to historical value.

In the hotel's cozy lobby, there is a bar that is open every day of the week. I received help the staff in the dining room and at the front desk. I walk with a cane and find it difficult to carry items from the buffet to my table but each morning a waitress carried the tray to my table and brought coffee to me over at my table. The staff ar the front desk called to wake me each morning and helped me with my luggage. Hotel Flora felt like a home.

Stenpiren Station is just a 5-minute from the hotel and is connected by ferry, tram and bus. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, which made the stay feel comfortable from the start. The location is very convenient — just a short walk from the train station (we arrived from Stockholm and easily came by foot), and only about 10 minutes to reach the restaurant and city center area. I also loved the design of the hotel, especially the lobby, where I worked for a couple of hours in a relaxed atmosphere. Considering the service, comfort, and easy access to Stockholm, the hotel offers excellent value for the price.
