Located in a fully-renovated historical building, the Porto AS 1829 Hotel is located in the city’s historical centre. Noted Porto landmarks like the Clérigos Tower and São Bento Train Station are a 7-minute walk. We had the best stay in this hotel! The room was very clean, had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the shower essentials were really nice. The location is just perfect, very close to all the sights. The staff of the hotel is truly amazing. So helpful, polite and nice! The receptionist gave us the best recommendations to visit the main attractions, and the waitress at the restaurant helped with the food alternatives. My girlfriend cannot eat gluten, so they provided gluten-free alternatives for her (even pastel de nata!), we highly appreciate it. ❤️ Would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Porto!

The property offers free access to its chocolate museum. The museum was intersting. Friendly helpful staff. Well equipped room,. kettle and drink selection welcome. Breakfast was ample with plenty of chocolate. Good restaurants within easy walking distance.

The modern Casas do Teatro has apartments and studios primely located near Porto’s city centre. The units are within a 5-minute walk from the São Bento Train Station, famous for its historically themed tiled panels. This place was perfect for me. I had everything I needed to feel comfortable and at ease. Quiet and well located. I washed clothes, made coffee, chilled out to watch TV in bed. Towels and bed linen were great. Loved the little balcony although the weather was not good enough to use it. I was travelling alone so had ample space but I think it would be great for two as well. Lovely owners were very helpful, loaned me an umbrella and sorted my airport taxi. Nice touch to have cheese, crackers and port on arrival.

Alex spent a lot time with us explaining the different things we could do in the area with maps and great suggestions. Room was very comfortable And cleans the breakfast was amazing ! The best hotel so far on our stay !!!!

The building and all of its areas were fully refurbished in 2018. Each room features stylish décor with wooden parquet floors, white painted walls and large French-style doors which open out to views of the city. There is a seating area with a flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom decorated with mosaic tiles and free toiletries. Safe and comfortable....friendly staff, clean room, delicious breakfast...perfect for solo females.
