The Library Room was an absolute delight—elegantly furnished with plush seating, rich wood accents, and a curated collection of books. You will find a kettle in the room. All rooms have a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hair dryer. This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

Located in Hikkaduwa, Camellia Dwelling offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access throughout the property. Featuring lush green gardens, it operates a 24-hour front desk and provides complimentary parking on site. Good location, clean and big room, also clean bathroom. Price was also cheap - around 25euros a night.

Rooms feature classic Sri Lankan-style furnishings. It offers a writing table, clean linen sheets and windows offering direct sunlight. Bathrooms are en suite. Everything. Best accommodation we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka. Room was spacious and clean. Shower was HOT, which is rare for Sri Lanka. Hosts were amazing - so friendly, welcoming and made sure me and my partner were happy at all times. The food at the guesthouse is 10/10, and the cheapest we found in the fort. They also have an amazing little puppy who just completed our stay!! Would 100% recommend!!

This elegant property is 2.8 km from Galle Light house, 2.9 km from the historical Galle Fort and 3.1 km from Dutch Church Galle. The views from the property were absolutely amazing! We could just hang out by the pool in the morning and watch the peacock and monkeys fool around which was a blast. The room was perfect with high ceilings, an abundance of natural sunlight (can shade if you want), and as clean as can be. The host and staff couldn’t have been more kind! They helped arrange rides, provided local dining options, activities to consider…pretty much you name it! The breakfast spread we had in the morning was, without question, the best we had during our trip! We couldn’t have been happier with the little time we were able to have there & we owe it all to the amazing people running it!!! ☺️

The roof top to watch the kites in the early evening! And the property was full of character!

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. It is a three minute walk to the Unawatuna Beach and a 15 minute drive away from the historic 16th - 17th century Galle Fort. A beautiful hotel in an old building. Interesting details. Amazing staff and location. There were always about 5 people in the hotel, but it was always quiet and comfortable. I definitely recommend

Sri Lankan architectural master piece Dunes Unawatuna hotel is an eco friendly boutique hotel near the beautiful Unawatuna beach(100 meters/ 5min walk away).

Dunes has 10 garden-view ac rooms and a 2 bed room ac cottage in its peaceful and tranquil setting. The room was beautiful, beautiful design and very complete. We enjoyed being in the room, which did not happen that often in Sri Lanka. A 10! Breakfast not included which is smart, like this you can eat whatever you feel like. We had a smoothiebowl and avocado toast, which we really enjoyed.
