Hôtel Restaurant Spa Le Sauvage, formerly the Clarisses Monestary, is located in the historic district of Besançon, 500 metres from the citadel's ancient walls. It offers views of the tree-lined park, the medieval walls, the city and the Doubs Valley. Breakfast was splendid. We had dinner there and it was top quality. The staff were very kind & helpful. Always smiling. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

The staff has been amazing letting us take our room early, especially because we have a cat and after a long trip she needed a calm place to rest. We did request it 1 week before. The location is perfect, even with the main street in front it is not that noisy.

Really welcoming and lovely stay. We were very late due to massive delays to our eurotunnel crossing and the hotel were brilliant. Shame we missed out on dinner. The menu looks amazing.
