Este hotel de 4 estrellas y gestión familiar está ubicado a orillas del lago de Lugano y ofrece varios restaurantes, wifi gratuita y piscina exterior orientada al sur con acceso directo al lago. Best hotel in Lugano! Excellent breakfast. Beautiful view. Pool and lake fantastic. Nice staff. Great location close to funicular ride to Monte Bre, ferry to Gandria, Paradiso and other places by the Lugano Lake, the beautiful Parco Ciani and Lugano Centro with a lot of excellent restaurants, shopping and cafe's. You can easily walk. If you prefer to take the bus its for free (Ticino Pass from the hotel) and taxi is not expensive in my opinion.

The hotel is in a perfect location--right on the lake--for exploring Lugano. It's only a short walk from the train station, so it was exceptionally convenient. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is served in a beautiful room overlooking the lake with a full range of choices for breakfast. You can't go wrong booking this hotel. If we return to Lugano, the Walter will be our #1 choice.
