It was great sitting in the sun on the balcony during the evenings after having walked for many hours. - The breakfast was also great, with many delicious alternatives to choose between and always served with a positive enthusiasm from the owner. - The location was great for hiking. We did not have a car but it was easy to get around by foot or bus. Taking the bus to Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe and walking back to Heiligenblut from there, as well as going with the cable car up to the Schareck summit and walking the Geotrail there was fantastic.

Hotel See-Villa is a historic resort hotel in a quiet location on the shores of Lake Millstatt in Carinthia. The location was superb. Right beside beautiful Millstattersee. The hotel had real character and the staff were friendly and eager to please. But what was the star for me was dining beside the vestigial lake in the terrace as the sun went down-magical.
