Incredible staff, amazing location, beautiful rooms and structure. Very kind and attentive staff, the onsen was We had an issue when renting a car to go to our next location , and the staff didn't measure efforts to support us. They truly went above and beyond to help us! I would give them a thousand stars if I could! Perfect place to stay in Kyoto!

The kindness and attentiveness of the staff, the perfect location (very close to Sannenzaka, Yasaka pagoda, and about 10 minutes walking to Kiyomizudera) makes it amazing for a peaceful evening stroll. The breakfast was also served in a traditional Japanese style and with different menu every morning so we did not get bored. The onsen was public but it could be reserved for our group. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Toshiharu is an exceptional Ryokan located in the center of Kyoto. We have never stayed in a better accommodation, anywhere. 5 Star Quality- The staff- exceptional, the breakfasts delicious and exquisite bentos each morning. The beds comfortable. The Onsen (included with your stay) prepared by the staff each night after a long day walking was amazing. This was a once in a lifetime experience. We stayed 5 nights and the service was consistent. The staff was so gracious and helped with any need we had. Dinner reservations, questions about getting places and so much more. They were so kind. We felt like we were their most important guests.
