Just what we were looking for. Great for families. Relaxing atmosphere and some of the best staff we ever met, so friendly, smiling and helpful. Our rooms were big, they felt spacious enough even with out luggage lying around. Also good wi-fi internet speed, video call worked fine. Across the street a supermarket and 2 minutes walk to nearest beach entrance and a park with little children playground, 5 minutes walk to crowded area with shops and restaurants.

Just 400 metres from the sandy beach of Paralia Kallitheas, Hotel Epavlis Eleftheriadi features modern rooms with a private balcony overlooking the Thermaic Gulf.

We've booked this room in a rush because we couldn't find that many in this area and we were lucky enough to discover a gem. For the price range this has to be the best room I have stayed. It was spacious, it had a bathtub, it was beautifully decorated and it had a view. I was so impressed that I asked the host if it was possible to check the other rooms. The host was kind enough to give me a tour of all not booked rooms. Some were big, some small, some had multiple spaces, some not, some had view, one had a jacuzzi in the room(!), but all of them were very beautiful and cozy. There's definitely something there for everyone. Breakfast had a homemade touch, variety and was delicious. The reception area had place to hang around and enjoy a coffee or read a book. Don't forget to get a home-made souvenir or a pomegranate liqueur. Maybe both, why not? The village is very small but has a bar and places to eat. If you find out that many people are selling nuts in this village there's a reason for it. The nuts are very cheap and taste amazing. Get those nuts! The village is easily approachable by car, but mind you that when we traveled there there was no snow, so your mileage may vary. There is a ski resort 10 mins away from the hotel and lots of places to go for a hike.
