I had a cocktail before dinner, the night of my arrival. They were having a "Negroni Festival" -- 6 different variations on the Negroni. I had the Bergamot Negroni and it was fabulous. I then had dinner at the hotel. I ordered the French onion soup and a fillet steak. The food was delicious and the service delightful.

We choose the classic room which was absolutely beautiful.The bed was so very comfortable & the bathroom walk-in shower was great.We would definitely recommend The Grovefield & hope to return in the future. Our thanks to Chris & his staff for a super break in their lovely hotel.

The bedroom and bathroom were modern and clean. Best mattress ever. With a 2 minute walk to the beach it was perfect. Great breakfast.

Charming Historic hotel with everything cared in detail, absolutely clean and maintained. Nice view of garden from window, all amenities, tea/coffee facilities, complimentary water , fresh towels, sparkling bathroom, clean carpets, lovely furnishings and decorations. I came to the hotel at night, took taxi from train station, it costed me 8pounds. the room was clean, comfortable and stylish. as I came at night it was freezing outside, I came to the room and luckily found water, tea bags and kettle. the location is good, the sea is just 10 min walk, but the pier is in a walking distance, not to far. I didn’t have time to go there, just went to see the sea and saw the pier in a distance. also it was good distance to work place, and to the train station. I liked the place. I didn’t go to breakfast as was in a hurry.
