The surrounding area, especially the Magoebaskloof, is beautiful and has exceptional nature. There are also good restaurants and coffee shops in Haenertsburg and in the Kloof. But it is not worth visiting the town, Tzaneen itself. Lots of accommodation is available. Beautiful hiking trails. It is a place to relax in nature and to get some rest for your soul. We enjoyed going to the Lion and Predator Park at Letaba River Resort. It really is like being one with nature, creatures in the surrounds can be heard throughout the day. The hydrangeas are just gorgeous. It’s a short drive to town where one can stock up on anything required for the stay. On our first night there the moon shone magnificently illuminating the night sky.
