The hosts are just great; they really made the stay. The property is filled with light and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are lots of birds (and baboons, so watch your personal belongings on the terrace). My only regret is that we did not stay longer. There are also tons of activities in and around the area to keep you occupied for a few days.

The main shared areas (pool, lounge, dining room) are tastefully decorated as well, and the deck offers breathtaking views over the valley. Absolutely lovely little cottage that has everything you could wish for. Location is wonderful if you need access to the Crags area and love the peace and quiet. The hosts are lovely, warm, and welcoming people. The bed is easily the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again on my next stay.

A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants. The Grootrivier and (Western Cape part of) the Bloukrans River passes are exceptional, as is Nature's Valley. The Birds of Eden is THE world leading bird conservancy -- the biggest anywhere with free flying birds in a magnificent forest with a beautiful kloof, waterfall ,,, The nearby Monkeyland and Jukani conservancies are also probably the best in Africa. Thyme & Again restaurant is also a favourite.

This is definitely not a family holiday spot!

This is definitely not a family holiday spot! It could, at best, be a backpackers lodge. The water in the bathrooms was brownish, and although there were assurances that it was healthy, we were sceptical. The rooms were tiny and barely furnished. The kitchen is communal and almost 100 meters away from the rooms - very inconvenient for those rainy days! What about the toilet and bathroom outside the rooms! We had surely booked the wrong place, and stayed only for one night out of four.

Its a wonderful place to stay, especially since it is 18kms from Plettenberg Bay, so its more serene than Plett over the height of summer. There is a lot to do in the vicinity. We loved our visits to the elephant sanctuary (an absolute must-do), the wolf sanctuary, Birds of Eden, Tenikwa (wildlife rehabilitation), Jukani (wildlife sanctuary, especially for Big Cats) and Monkeyland. There's a super water park (Adventureland) about 19kms away, with fabulous waterslides. We made the mistake of not booking restaurants for dinner in advance. Over late December / early January most places were fully booked, which really limited our options and we spent a lot of time calling around, which we could have avoided. I would scout the restaurants and book well in advance next time.

We stayed for a view days at 20 good summers and it was terrific. Very clean and spacious room with a large, comfortable bed. Well decorated and beautiful art. Fast laundry service as well. Surrounded by nature and nearby great hike trails and beach. Hosts gave us a warm welcome and everything we needed. The farm stay is totally off the grid, so no loadshedding. Really recommend it!

Lovely, quirky hotel, very well placed for both Knysna and Tsitsikamma. Really kind and friendly staff. Lots of lovely touches including a wood burning stove in the bedroom and a bedtime story book. Verandas with lovely views across the valley.

The hosts were a true gem, they showed me around and pointed out the lovely birds and nearby scenic spots. The property is located in a quaint estate and it was lovely to be in such a calm environment. I will definitely go back.
