Pleasant, walkable, town, in the Fox Valley, on the shore of Lake Winnebago. Nightlife somewhat lacking, but great food in town or in the several towns surrounding the city (The Weathervane, Butch's Pizza, MiHm's Hamburgers, Pete's Garage Bar, The Chalice, etc.), plus great Friday night fish fries, at various bars and restaurants. The river and lake provide lots of opportunities for sailing, wind surfing or fishing (sturgeon ice fishing in winter). A local PAC provides concerts and Broadway productions. Well maintained parks. Several museums provide information about the area, including exhibits on Harry Houdini. Good shopping opportunities, in a thriving downtown.. Midwest nice vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful. I really liked the set up for the hotel. I travel with my service dog and potty breaks were so easy. We just stepped out of our room and walked a short way to go potty. Very convenient.Guest review byEzakyah - 10.0

Thanks again for the one night stay. Our kids ALWAYS pick Neenah “with the red slide” because it’s memorable to them. We’ve been coming here for 7 years and our family just loves it. Always accommodating and clean. This last stay was very busy, even with COVID restrictions. Big High FIVE to the staff and their cleaning expertise. There was a birthday party who made a mess and we felt the staffs pain. But the next morning the arcade room was a 10 spot clean. Great work team! Good restaurants nearby, shopping, groceries all close. Very comfortable. WAY BETTER than any hotel! Lots of room. Excellent choice for families. Water pressure left a little bit to be desired, but water was good and shower was hot. Couple of small issues that I brought up with owner, but nothing significant. Sad that there wasn't a carpeted floor. No bed bugs and the sheets were clean but the shower and mirror in the bathroom had unknown hair, makeup and soap residue on it. The bathroom counter was full of ciggarette burns. The hotel is located in an area of town near abandoned parking lots. Sketchy on the outside.
