    It's OK for the location since it's one of the only decent...

    It's OK for the location since it's one of the only decent hotels in the area. The bar and restaurant were nice. The room itself was dated and needs an update and some better furnishings. The area has some very good restaurants close by. Example, Portillo's is a Chicago institution and this location was very good.

    Getting around Crystal Lake was very easy.

    Getting around Crystal Lake was very easy. We ate at Chen's Chinese Cuisine and it was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. People in Crystal Lake are very friendly. It was a nice change from Arizona. Got to see beautiful fall colors.

    The overall stay at the hotel exceeded my expectation.

    The overall stay at the hotel exceeded my expectation. I would prefer the breakfast be included in the hotel cost. I didn’t like paying a separate cost for a breakfast buffet. The breakfast was great but I didn’t get my money worth.

    The lighting in the bathrooms was very good. The breakfasts were in general tasty, although on occasion the eggs were overcooked (much better than under). The staff was friendly. I appreciated the updated decor in the hotel.
