Hadn't been to Charleston in several years. It was great to see it all again along with the latest additions. This is more of an adult travel destination rather than kids. Interesting Fort Sumpter 1st Shot of Civil War and Charleston Museum 1st Museum of US it has some historical interest but not alot of variety in attractions. Several boat cruises, several carriage rides, the free downtown trolly bus was a huge plus and the bench swings and the pier at Pineapple fountain/water taxi area was highlight of our trip. Nice historical city.
Nice historical city. Rich history of rice crops making it wealthiest city in the south. I loved the Barbados inspired architecture of homes with side porches. Enjoyed learning of the Gullah Geechee culture and the seagrass baskets. Quaint town and great food as well as beautiful scenery. The best part about Charleston is all the history.
The best part about Charleston is all the history. The buildings, house streets they all have so much character. The entire city is beautiful. You can shop, sightsee, or just sit along the shoreline.
