Good food, plenty of history and lots to do for the whole family. Visit the Capitol and the Naval Academy for free, Sail on the Bay in a 3-masted schooner, Shop on Main Street, and grab a sandwich at the "best Deli in Annapolis" Many other historic and interesting places within a short drive. We visited Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria in the same day with no problem. We had nice meals at the Iron Rooster, Luna Blu and J Alexanders Hope to return again soon!

Annapolis has so much to see that a short weekend trip did not give us enough time to explore. Enjoyed a lovely dinner at The ChopTank, which was a little too loud on a Friday night to really enjoy conversation, but the view was spectacular, the crab cakes were delicious, and the wait staff efficient. The Chart House was an even better experience -- the tuna was excellent and the waiter was patient and informative -- a busy place, but I did not feel rushed. USNA was the highlight of this trip! Take the electric car tour -- you'll cover more ground and enjoy a few breezes! Tour guides are highly informed and present an entire history lesson in 90 minutes with humor, charisma, and personal anecdotes.

Location and hotel were great. We did not need a car at all. The ONLY thing we missed were an on site restaurant and bar which I understand will be opening in 2026. A view of the water and the boats was delightful, the decor in the common areas, as well as the room itself, were very nice, and the water taxi stopping at the hotel is a real bonus. Also, everything, including the Naval Academy, shopping, restaurants, and bars, are so close you don’t need your car at all.

Annapolis is a fantastic place to visit.

Annapolis is a fantastic place to visit. My reason was attending a conference (4 days). The Naval Academy is, of course, a must and the harbor area a shoppers´delight, not to mention the seafood restaurants. Street parking can be a problem. (March...for tree blossoms)

Being an older town, the best way to see the town is to walk. The shops are quaint and "beg" to be explored. I would definitely recommend the Iron Rooster for a nice dinner - both the food and the ambiance were great. I would also recommend Miss Shirley's for breakfast! Unfortunately, we were only able to stay two nights, and the weather did not cooperate. So, we didn't have a chance to walk around and see the sites as we would have liked. So, we plan to definitely return when the weather is warmer.

This was just a stopover on a longer trip. We did get the chance to go downtown for dinner at Chick & Ruth's. Right on main street and it was very cute. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I definitely want to come back and explore.

Everything was great. The hotel team was nice and friendly. The girl on the reception helped us with some restaurant tips and was very nice with us, as we were on a honeymoon trip.
