First of all i have to say that i didn’t look at the map while booking so i missed the fact that this guesthouse is not near any stores or restaurants. If I knew that maybe I wouldn’t book it and this would be a huge mistake! We loved this place sooooo much! We were lucky to be there all alone (me and my husband) without other guests and sometimes it really felt like home. Nice pool, nice beach, if you want anything to eat the amazing host Margaret has a menu of lunches and dinners and she is a great cook. This place is really for those who need some quiet private time. If you want to go for shopping and some other entertainment you can always ask for taxi to Nungwi. We did it once and then regretted cause this town was too busy and noisy we were happy to come back to Matumaini. Near the guesthouse there are couple of small zoos and also you can try several boat trips right from the guesthouse. Every day we had the nicest chats with Margaret and really enjoyed her company. All of the villa staff were very sweet. It broke my heart a little when we had to leave. Highly recommended, wonderful experience! Margaret we are happy to know you, miss you!

This place is as beautiful as the pictures. The staff is very warm/ friendly and very welcoming. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast selection was good. The hotel is at the beach front so u wake up to sea views ( sea facing rooms) and could take morning / early evening walks🌅. You can book your activities through the hotel. Most importantly the hotel is family friendly as well. Sea food platter was delicious 🤩

My wife and I visited Zanzibar for the first time in March 2025. We spent the first four days at the Infinity Boutique Hotel in Matembwe and were absolutely enchanted. I rarely give exceptional ratings, and certainly not for every checkbox, but this is exceptional to a degree that merits the rating. The property is new so everything is in excellent condition. It owned and managed by a couple that moved there from Poland to start the venture. Tomak and Margo are kind, warm, hospitable, and helpful hosts. My wife didn't have a hat for the harsh sun. Maggie loaned her one. There was a problem with a leak in our bathroom. Tomak ensured the problem was fixed quickly. I developed a slight sunburn on my head. Maggie brought aloe vera ointment without being asked. We did day trips to Ningwi and for snorkling near Mnemba Island. They organized everything and ensured flexibility to accommodate changing weather during the rainy season, when we were there (we recommend it). We were the only guests for one day and night. There was another couple on other days, but we really had the place to ourselves. It was tranquil and relaxing!! We were treated like family and felt that way. The bed was very comfortable. The AC is excellent. Excellent WiFi reception everywhere on the property. The views are breathtaking. I have marvelous sunrise pictures. The pool is spacious and was always available for a swim. The staff were cheerful, professional and very likeable. Several became friends. Sitting on the open-air covered terrace sipping a cold one and watching the tides roll in and out was our best memory of Zanzibar. The ocean is many shades of blue with white, fine sand. The meals were delicious. Chef Sultan made flawless dishes. Best fries I have ever had, including in Belgium.

Brilliant break fast, very good value for money. Excellent place to relax away from the hustle bustle of city life. Spacious and very clean room, bathroom was also very well maintained. Staff were very cordial and friendly the owner too. Emanuel is an excellent person.

SafiraBlu is stunning - the property and each of the villas are beautiful. Since there are so few villas there, the staff go above and beyond to make sure your wants and needs are being met. Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Keith, the head chef, for always having great suggestions for our meals and being so welcoming. Also to Isaac, Alpha, Abdella, Stella, Harry, and Ahmed for being so helpful and considerate whenever we had any questions, or were enjoying the pool, restaurant, or in-unit service! My wife and I came here to relax for our honeymoon prior to going on a Safari on the mainland and this was the perfect place for that. We did the all-inclusive package which was well worth it in our opinion. If I could rate this place 11 out of 10 I would. I would recommend this resort to anyone and would love to come back one day.

I had a wonderful stay at Mambo Paradise. The atmosphere was relaxing, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall vibe of the hotel made it easy to unwind. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile, which made me feel at home right away. The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, yet close enough to enjoy everything around. Staying at Alladin was an unforgettable experience. What truly made this place stand out was the incredible staff. Khamis, Benito, Faraja, Mona, and the rest of the team made me feel like part of their family. Their warmth, kindness, and constant willingness to help turned this hotel into my home on Zanzibar. I stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every moment—relaxing by the pool, swimming in the sea (which was especially amazing from 3 PM onwards when it felt like a natural hot tub!), and simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. As a solo traveler, I always felt that someone from the hotel was looking out for me, which made my stay even more special. The rooms are perfect. The food was absolutely delicious! I ate at the restaurant almost every day, and there were plenty of great vegetarian options. Beyond the hotel itself, they took such great care of me when organizing excursions. Everything was arranged flawlessly—packed breakfasts, reliable taxis, excellent guides—it made exploring Zanzibar so easy and stress-free. This is the perfect place to feel at home in Zanzibar. The only downside? You won’t want to leave!

Marafiki is pure bliss! Ideal location, so tastefully decorated, well maintained daily, very clean. The staff are lovely and the restaurant on site also great. Will be back! *Suited particularly to honeymooners (though we weren't and still very much enjoyed).
