Surin Beach is the best beach in Phuket.
Surin Beach is the best beach in Phuket. There really is little argument on that score. As a "village/town" is don't have too much going for it as the road through the central bit is very busy and there aren't wide pavements to walk along. However, if you are willing to overlook this then you will find some real gems in and around Surin Beach. There are some really fabulous Thai restaurants and some amazing beach vendors. Some of the beach huts (not all!) would get Michelin Stars in my book. Cold beer, smoothies, fishcakes and satay are what holidays are made for. Clean sandy treelined beach with local stalls selling various food and drinks. Sun beds and chairs/loungers available to hire. There are a couple of beach bars at one end but lacks cafes and bars. Not much happening once the sun goes down as local area lacks decent bars and restaurants outside of hotels. Most of Surins nightlife is focused along the busy main road.
