Rayong is a not too big city on the Gulf of Thailand with great beaches. what I miss is good restaurants and coffee houses. it is all very Thai, not clean, a lot is broken and will never be repaired. streets are good, Thai driving crazy and dangerous. Thailand is the number one in road accidents and casualties in the world. Great for a stopping point to Koh Chang and Koh Mak. Interesting because a more real Thai experience. You can if you want go from Rayong Tour and one stop on the sky train go to Sawanabuhmi airport for 195baht. Rayong was our stopover from Koh Samet island back to Bangkok airport and leave the country. So, two nights to facilitate the transfer was just enough. There is nothing to see around here. Our apartment was huge , with separate bedroom , living room , kitchen and bathroom with very large balcony . Amy made us a fantastic full English breakfast , the first we had in Thailand . Dave and Amy assisted us with anything we needed even giving us a lift to the port and the property was opposite a beautiful quiet beach , with free sun beds .
