You will hardly find any nicer, more comfy and very well maintained Bungalows along the whole lovely beach! The staff is very nice and welcoming, makes you smile every day! The kitchen is also great (try the Burmese tea-leaf salad). What makes the resort special is Todd, the owner. He is the resort's spirit and soul, who runs this place with passion. Todd always has an open ear for his guests' concerns and wishes, and does everything he can to make their stay as pleasant as possible! Thanks Todd, for everything! Is very nice place , of course the owner(run the property)she is lovely and very helpful. On the front area, is a caffe during the day . The tables on the patio can share with the customers of the caffe. Is not noisy don’t worry . A guitar available. Is a nice choice , meet people and make nice conversations. The Bed was comfortable , I slept my best in Thailand here . Thank you very much

Fabulous stay - the executive suite room was well worth the extra - the view was stunning whilst sitting in bed. Resteraunt served great food, Amy was very helpful and organised onward travel back to phuket (Ferry tickets and Taxi pickup from Ranong Pier). The Resort has a Tuk-Tuk to bring you and your backpacks/suitcases from the ferry terminal and back again at the end of the stay. Ask as soon as you are getting off the ferry - don't walk to the end of the pier as the tuk-tuk is usually waiting ON the pier for boats - just call ahead to Amy and be sure she knows you are arriving on the ferry and it will be there for you. The location is great - about five minutes from the Hippie Bar - which is probably the greatest bar on Earth - literally a warren of driftwood held together with (hemp) ropes (no plastic here). Anyway - Koh Phayam is like Thailand was twenty five years ago - a million miles away from party-town Phuket and lots of lovely uncrowded beaches. Marina Resort is one of the nicest frendliest places - book a stay - you won't be disappointed! :-)

Great location, I'd say better than being directly on the beach as it's much more quiet and peaceful. The nicest beach on the island is only a 10 minute walk. I stayed in both bungalow no 8 and no 2. 8 was the nicer of the two only because it was a little further away from the restaurant so there was no noise, no 2 was exactly the same layout but sometimes you got a little noise from the restaurant and reception area. Really comfortable and spotlessly clean bungalow, staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. Id definitely stay here again.
