Third time I've been to this lovely old walled town.
Third time I've been to this lovely old walled town. Lots of wee Cafes, restaurants, ice cream shops. Town goes to bed quite early so don't expect a cabaret till two in the morning but do expected a peaceful night. You have easy access to a range of day trips to the west the high Tara mountains, to the south the Slovakian Raj (all hidden so google it to see the wonderful gorge walking) and to the east and north forested valleys with wooden churches to explore. The property is extremely clean, recently renovated, very attractive and part of an historic building. The host is lovely and very enthusiastically helpful with suggestions about places to eat and her very beautiful town. The bathroom was in impeccable condition - the heating was very thorough and the facilities had all that you need if you wish to cook. Location was very close to Slovenski Raj, which took us around 30 minutes drive. Two things that surprised me and my family were the Sauna and Jacuzzi, which can be found above the restaurant only for residents of the hotel.
