Wonderful castle and walks around and through the city were most enjoyable. The area is flat so no problems with steep inclines. Interesting history with many photo opportunities. Kalmar is a nice city.
Kalmar is a nice city. The old city walls and the castle give it a good feel. It's easy to take a day trip to Öland from here. I wouldn't recommend this during the fall season as it gets quite cold and windy. I must recommend the restaurant E.A.T.. I loved how Clarion maintains the homey feeling in its hotel design. Our toilet was clean and modern which is always appreciated as I have been to more expensive hotels with moldy bathrooms. I love how there is free coffee in the hotel lobby and a small bar to cap the night.
