I will highly recommend Seaside. It is owner operated and the attention to detail is amazing. As we where at the place over the Christmas period, the room had Christmas decorations, which was so nice. Got home on two occasions and our dirty clothes were washed and hanging to dry. When we got home on Christmas Day a cold bottle of champagne was waiting in our fridge. Floors were washed everyday and towels changed every day. There are two small superettes close by where you can buy bread, milk, juice etc. The public bus stop is 50m away. The room was clean, it has airconditioning, fridge, pots and utensils to make your stay comfortable. The beach is just across the street. It has Wi-Fi and beach towels. The owner explained to us which busses to take, when they leave, where to shop, eat etc.

Mahe is very busy so if you do not like a quiet getaway this Island is for you. There are various beaches to visit, museums and art galleries. Be mindful of public holidays, many places are closed. Saturdays are half day and Sundays they closed. Plan your stay and excursions so you are aware of what will be open and when. Food is great, visit the Boat House and Beach Shack at Beau Vallon.

A car is mandatory if you want to visit and see the beaches...

A car is mandatory if you want to visit and see the beaches or other POI`s. But the roads are narrow and you drive on the left, so you have to be careful. The buses have a schedule, but they don't necessarily follow it, and you don`t want to wait for it on the side of the road, in the heat. If you're the all-inclusive type who stays in one place from start to finish, then forget about the car.

Mahé – A True Paradise Mahé captured our hearts from the very first moment. The island is a beautiful blend of lush green mountains, stunning beaches with crystal-clear waters, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We loved exploring its charming beaches like Anse Royale and Takamaka, snorkeling in warm waters, and discovering hidden local spots. Every corner felt like a postcard — vibrant, peaceful, and full of natural beauty. Mahé offered the perfect balance between adventure and pure relaxation, and made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. Its privacy yet right upon the beach. Ros A Mer provided all cooking facilities. The dining experierience, there were so many choices on the patio, inside or evan on the beach to the accompyment of the sound of the waves. From every angle was a beautiful view. We were received by the owners and Ermma. So helpful and welcoming. The air and was so good as was local cusine and we can say we left feeling healed and restored. The inspiration we carry with us. We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin...

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution. You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%. Best Beach Four Season Good restaurant Green House Le duc - Praslin Le repaire- La digue

Great central location within a short drive to town and to the nearby Eden Island facilities. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. This is a small boutique hotel with well appointed rooms. The room was large and comfortable with a large verandah/balcony which had great views of the Eden Island Marina opposite to indulge in a bit of yacht or boat watching. Whilst a kitchen was available, I popped to the L'Escale hotel and restaurant just a few metres away (right next door) for some cocktails and dinner.

Large apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen and terrace. The apartment was fully equipped, air conditioning in every bedroom, washing machine. Quiet location with a garden around the apartment. Nice pool and amazing sunset view. The staff is very friendly, especially the manager Lenny. Lenny shared with us his recommendations about the beautiful beaches on the island and was very funny. He let us feel the spirit of the Seychelles and the mentality of the people living here. "Peace and love" :)

We had a lovely stay at Eden studios and were surprised about the lovely shared kitchen & lounge facilities and the lovely view over the marina towards the mountains. The unit was clean and Jesse, who met us, was lovely. Sam was very helpful in arranging a great taxi for us and communicating clearly with us. This spot is perfect for a 1 or 2 night stay before or after your holiday in Seychelles, but we wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay.

Everything was perfect! The owners are so nice. They were cleaning every day, throwing the garbage. They gave us good recommendations where to buy fresh fish and allowed us to use their barbecue in the garden! Bare in mind that your will defensively need rent a car if you choose to stay in this area. The Villa Bella has everything you would need for a perfect stay on Mahe island. Highly recommended!
