This is so much more than accommodation it’s quite an adventure to get there. It is right up in the hills in a lovely little village, the people were so friendly. The room is fantastic with many lovely thoughtful things done to make your same great!!

Beautiful charming facilities. The gardens and the buildings were so well taken care off 😍 The staff was extra helpful. Also, we had dinner at the restaurant and the food/wine was absolutely delicious and local. Loved every second of our stay!

A stunning location with beautiful views all around! The property is immaculately maintained, lovely tall cypress trees line the outdoor areas with views of the vineyards & river beyond. Very comfortable rooms, wonderful interiors. Many options for sitting outdoors, including a pool. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast and dinner, excellent service! We tried many of the wines both from Quinta Nova as well as the Dao winery - superb 👌

The staff in all areas of the hotel were pleasant, efficient, informative and very happy to help in anyway possible. The hotel is beautiful and the view over the river is beautiful. The breakfast was lovely and we had dinner in the hotel one evening which was wonderful. The other night we ate in a local more traditional restaurant which the hotel booked for us and was a good choice too. Pinhão is lovely and the hotel was an oasis of calm after a busy stay in Porto.

    The Quinta de Sao Luiz, where we were staying, made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Tabuaco. The drive to the restaurant was challenging due to the serpentine road and rainy weather. I don't think there was much to do in that small town, but we had an okay experience at the restaurant.

    The trip to the Quinta was through some wonderful rambling...

    The trip to the Quinta was through some wonderful rambling winding roads in the Douro valley. There are many places to visit there, and although we thought the location was perfect, some might like a location closer to town and not so far from Porto.

    The hotel is very modern and decorated with great taste, the rooms are big and ours had a balcony to appreciate the spectacular view of the Douro valley… it was absolutely impressive! Breakfast buffet was good. Dinner was really delicious!! The staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. We had a free wine tasting session as the oldest Porto winery is within the premises. Great … rather súper location. Highly recommend it.

    This is the best hotel we ever stayed in: tastefully designed and decorated. The private outside areas were comfortably furnished, olive trees gave protection from the sun. They make their own olive oil and wine. The chef was outstanding, we had two dinners there. The overall experience and ambiance were superb. I would have given it a score of 20, if it was available.     We loved staying at this adorable farm house. The weather didn't cooperate, but nonetheless, the area is gorgeous and we had a great time! We also were happy that our small dog was able to enjoy the trip with us. We were also super happy to have heat as it was quite cold in the Douro Valley during our stay!

    The hotel hallway, rooms and breakfast area are super clean, fully updated, good breakfast with fresh orange juice, pastries and eggs. Friendly staff and easy parking on streets.
