1. The key to 1 room stopped to work after we walked to the beach. The reception personal replaced it very fast. 2. Breakfast was delicious, plain on fruits and boissons, great choice of warm and cold dishes. 3. The view from the balconies of our rooms are awesome - to the beach, promenade, cliffs ....... Unexpected! 4. The beds are perfect!

Very clean and cozy. The host left us some fruit and very tasty wine, which we really appreciated. The house is big enough for two people and there is a sweet little terrace outside where you can eat :) The host is very accessible and getting/returning the keys was easy.

We stayed in this apartment in Machico for 11 nights as a family of three (with a teenager), and we absolutely loved it! The place is spacious, modern, and very comfortable — it could easily accommodate up to 6 people. Everything is new and fully equipped: a large kitchen, a dining area, a cozy living room with a sofa and TV, a terrace, and even private parking right at the door. The location is peaceful and quiet at night, as it’s not in the very center, but all the essentials — shops, restaurants, the beach — are just a short walk away. A special thank you to the wonderful host: she was always available, warmly welcomed us, treated us to local bread, and was ready to help with anything (though we had zero issues during our stay). Also, the neighbors around are very friendly, which added to the overall great atmosphere. We highly recommend this place!

The apartment was convenient for beaches and the airport. It was easy to find an easy to park. It was incredibly well equipped and clean. The balcony is lovely. There was an excellent supply of coffee! The host was flexible with check in and check out. There were many extras: food, bottled water, toiletries, bathrobes etc Good Internet.

Everything was great, the house is big, it has a nice view and it's close to the airport. It was very comfortable for 5 people and we had everything that we needed. There is also a shop nearby and few restaurants. No problem with parking. Awesome place to spend time with your friends/family. We had no problem to get anywhere on the island from the house as it's not far away from the main road. Also the owner is very lovely and she wanted to make sure that our stay was perfect!

Lovely villa in central Machico - perfect base for exploring Madeira and a few metres from a sandy beach. Exactly as described with everything you could need. Hosts were brilliant, very responsive and were able to answer any questions we had. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Awesome place, parking next to the apartment available. Porch has a nice view. We got bread delivered in the morning too. Very friendly owners, did not meet in person, but they stayed available for any questions over phone or messages. Awesome value for the price. Google maps show correct location, was easy to find.

    Machico resort is not for the night clubbing holiday maker, It was however for us a slow paced setting with a good selection of restaurants and supermarkets with walking routes for those who wish. The harbour offered boat trips, whale watching and surf lessons, the latter was enjoyed from the safety of a dry vantage point. Local bus into Funchal for 2-60 euro single was 50 mins away which opens up further opportunities for excursions and sight seeing like the red or yellow hop on hop off bus tours which operate from the promenade where the ticket is valid for 24 hours allowing to to spend time where the mood takes. Weather forecasting in resort will not take into account the drizzle from the mountains with can add a cooling break from the sunshine and occasional rain. Enjoy.

    A nice area to stay outside Funchal where I find it still preserves. We stayed in the best Modern Guesthouse, ate local foods in O’Gala and Massa Mia. They have two beaches. The rocky area and the sand area.

    Nice small village nearby 2 beaches with all the necessary shops (supermarkets) and several restaurants. Away from the buzzling city. 😄 But by car nearby some touristic hotspots like Santa Cruz, Funchal, Cristo Rei, Santana houses etc.

    Machico was good for food shopping, restaurants, and bars. We didn't use the beach, but saw lots of people swimming. The town is handy for some great walks on the east end of the island. We even managed a walk to Porta da Cruz and back from town.

    Machico has shops with souvenirs and snack bars and restaurants as well as a clean beach with golden sand and changing facilities. There is also a supermarket and bus station enabling travel to other destinations on the island. People are friendly and helpful. There are many places to simply sit and have a drink and a snack.

    Great village with range of facilities, as well as sandy beach (rare on island) together with pebble beach and harbour. Lots of places to eat or drink out, car parking (some free as well), supermarkets, shopping outlets, places of worship and walking that is safe.

    Our stay at Ruben's Modern & Recycled House was a real pleasure! We saw the pictures upfront but the reality is even better. Comfy beds, reliable internet connection ( no problem for a week of remote working ). Ruben is a very pleasant and communicative person that gave us tips and insights of places to visit and things to do during our 2 weeks stay. Thank you Ruben and really hope to meet again, regardless if in Madeira or in Romania :)

    We had a very good stay at the apartment in Machico, Madeira. The apartment was spacious and clean, perfect for two friends. The location was excellent, with easy access to bakeries, restaurants, small shops, and a free parking. Being just a 10-minute drive from the airport was a convenient bonus. Machico itself is a charming and clean village. Highly recommended!

    Lovely apartment within walking distance to the beachfront of Machico and the shops and restaurants around the main square. The property offers all you need to comfortably stay for a couple of days. I stayed in the run up to the Trans Madeira mountain bike race and it was perfect for what I needed.
