Never rely on airport taxi driver.

Never rely on airport taxi driver. They may try to take a longer route. So be aware.. Prefer Uber instead; which is reliable and quick. Trip by a famous tram28 is a frustration, it is much better photographing it from the outside in narrow streets.

Lisbon is a lovely city painted in cobblestone, French balconies and colourful facades but most of all, delicious Pastes da Nata and Pao de Deus. The city felt quit, safe and is sprinkled with castles and lovely museums. We where happy to be able to walk off our overconsumption of pastries with lovely walks.

    Brilliant place

Brilliant place The trip to Belem was great walking along the promenade ,stopping for coffee, visiting the coach museum Great day We caught a bus to the Tile Museum and spent 2 hours marvelling at it all. Go early and be there for the opening time. We also got a package to Sintra which included the Quinta Da Regaleira and Pena Palace. Also included return train tickets ( approx €57) such good value BIG tip buy the €13.5 hop on and off bus ticket from the bus drivers at Sintra station there are 2 buses that go different routes but between them visiting all the palaces. We hadn't realised this from our research. We thought you had to buy 2 different tickets. So buy 1 ticket and save the stress of trying to walk to some and enjoy the ride. Some of them palaces are a long walk ( and I live in the Lake District and do a lot of walking so not saying this in jest). We didn't do St George castle at Alfama as it seems to be 2 hour wait if not pre booked. Super city with good and cheap transport links Buy a yellow Navigante travel card.so easy to top up and use on Metro, tram, bus.

    Amazing city to visit.

Amazing city to visit. So much to do and see.boat bus tram and take turns rides all worth doing if you gave time. Some great places to eat at reasonable prices if you move a little way off the main tourist road. Use the Fork App for discounted eating places. Been to lisbon a couple of times and will visit again.

Lisbon is one of the oldest capitals in Europe.

Lisbon is one of the oldest capitals in Europe. It's old town is a maze of cobblestone streets filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. There are many places where you can explore its history including the National Pantheon, Lisbon Cathedral, and Castelo de São Jorge. There are also many wonderful cafes and restaurants - Simply Coffee, Organi Chiado, and As Bifanas do Afonso were some of my favorites. Comfortable walking shoes are essential. Lisbon is hilly and the narrow cobblestone sidewalks can be challenging and hard on your feet.

Beautiful city, with too many hystorical thing to visit. Just check before visiting because some of them are closed like Belem pallace for restoring and the elevator Santa Justa. Buy Lisbon city card it helps a lot a you have free tram, metro, and tickets for some monasterys paid with it and for some you have discount. Paid tour for Sinthra,Pena Pallace and Quinta de Regaleira with get you guide is excellent.

I arrived at the hotel three hours late after being stuck in the immigration queue at Europe's worst airport, Lisbon. At nearly 1am, the staff were amazing, and a very welcome sight. The room was really nice, breakfast was available from 4am, which was important as I wanted to get back to the airport at least 4 hours early. Location was perfect. Less than 5 minutes walk to Terminal 1. One of my best hotel experiences for quite some time.

Everything! The kindness of all staff was superb, the hotel was the best so far in my life based on value-price. It's not a luxury hotel, plain and simple, but based on the equipments and the kindness and comfortability it feels like a 4-5 stars hotel. Breakfast was also in big variety, tasty, fresh pastries and fit for the need.

The hotel is like a boutique hotel: my room was quirky and clean, it's positioned in one of the best spots of Lisbon, the patio is a real surprise and allows for quiet and peace in what can be quite a puzzling city. The breakfast is delicious with fresh food and coffee. A hidden gem!
