This was our second visit to the hotel and it was great as usual. The staff are so kind and helpful and the location is great.

Solar Mendonca is ideally located in Faro, and offers a terrace and free WiFi. The property is around 11 km from Church of São Lourenço, 25 km from Vilamoura Marina and 28 km from Island of Tavira.

Liked · My cousin and I came on a winter break and we could not have chosen better. Marta contacted us before we even arrived with check in details and access instructions as we were arriving late. However despute lateness Helder met us there and showed us our apartment. The apartment is gorgeous, absolutely spotless with great thought given to what you might need. Aside from the usual kitchen utensils there were containers in case you wanted a picnic, there were umbrellas, beach towels and beach umbrellas. There were also fluffy robes and slippers, gorgeous bathroom products,(shower gel, shampoo, conditioner), plus vanity kits, toothbrushes, and sewing kits. The bathroom was well lit and the shower, large, and good pressure. The bed, well what can I say, it is without doubt the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, add the high thread count sheets for a five star experience. We had a lovely little balcony which was perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. A bottle of which had been left in the fridge. There is also a lovely roof terrace hidden from view but with lovely views across the rooftops. We had a couple of questions such as getting the TV to work and what pods the coffee machine took as we wanted to buy more, these were answered via WhatsApp promptly and in such a friendly way, each time with a recommendation of things to do or places to eat. Overall this really was a five star experience and, as I like Faro for a winter break I feel I have really found a home away from home. Actually that's not true, Solar Mendonca is better 🙂

Beautiful accommodation, clean and cozy. The staff was very helpful and nice. Thank you! the location is a 5-minute walk to both the train and bus stations, which we greatly appreciated. I would love to come back again and highly recommend the accommodation!

After the excellent time during the month that we spent in Porto, Lisbon and Albufeira, we stayed for the last 3 days of our trip in Faro, on our way back to Canada. The hotel was excellent, the room service, the breakfast etc. The greatest value is the extremely friendly and helpful front desk representatives. The location was great. A nice view over the marina. The breakfast was amazing. Much more than food. It was an experience. Pianist, champagne, on the top floor with amazing view, service impeccable, tables set nicely and a wide ranging buffet of delightfully fresh food.
