Even though we arrived late with 2 small children, Antonio was incredibly welcoming and prepared for us some food and wine. Very spacious room and ideal for the 4 of us. Great breakfast the next morning and even had time for a swim in the lovely swimming room before we had to depart.

We absolutely adored the house. Exceptionally clean, functional with all necessary machines , kitchen and bathroom elements, very tastefully decorated and cosy. The terrace on the top floor is a real added bonus with a view of the surroundings ( stairs are quite steep from the kitchen to the terrace should one have a knee or leg problem). The location of the house is also ideal. Situated in a small village, Estoi, just north of Faro (only 20 mn by car from the airport and easy to access east and west of the Algarve) , we loved the location of Casa Da Ponte just next to the small central square with a small cafe. Ideal place to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine with the locals in the evening. Lucia and Jose were fantastic hosts and although not present on the site, always available if needed. Highly recommend this house!

Liked · My cousin and I came on a winter break and we could not have chosen better. Marta contacted us before we even arrived with check in details and access instructions as we were arriving late. However despute lateness Helder met us there and showed us our apartment. The apartment is gorgeous, absolutely spotless with great thought given to what you might need. Aside from the usual kitchen utensils there were containers in case you wanted a picnic, there were umbrellas, beach towels and beach umbrellas. There were also fluffy robes and slippers, gorgeous bathroom products,(shower gel, shampoo, conditioner), plus vanity kits, toothbrushes, and sewing kits. The bathroom was well lit and the shower, large, and good pressure. The bed, well what can I say, it is without doubt the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, add the high thread count sheets for a five star experience. We had a lovely little balcony which was perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. A bottle of which had been left in the fridge. There is also a lovely roof terrace hidden from view but with lovely views across the rooftops. We had a couple of questions such as getting the TV to work and what pods the coffee machine took as we wanted to buy more, these were answered via WhatsApp promptly and in such a friendly way, each time with a recommendation of things to do or places to eat. Overall this really was a five star experience and, as I like Faro for a winter break I feel I have really found a home away from home. Actually that's not true, Solar Mendonca is better 🙂

We stayed here as it was convenient for Faro airport. Also easy for us to get to golf destination. We ate in the hotel as could not find suitable restaurants outside . The food was excellent. Although we didn’t use the pool it looks great. The underground car park is a bonus. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient.

Beautiful charming town not too far from Estoi with a couple of lovely places to see fantastic Cathedral Square and Palace to visit in the vicinity easily connected to any corner of the Algarve and even easy to drive to Spain from there so not only was the location beautiful but it also had 23 lovely monuments and Pals to see Also in the Hills close by very serene and Com would definitely visit this place again

This is a fascinating little village.

This is a fascinating little village. There is a shop of some kind around every corner (but it does mean you have to explore a lot to find everything!). It has a bizarre one-way system (do NOT DRIVE THE WRONG WAY TO THE HOTEL!). The sustainable produce shop just around the corner from the hotel was fascinating - and even sell products in hand-luggage sizes!

The Palace and the Roman ruins are worth a trip to this small and otherwise typical town; and Casa de Estoi is the loveliest place I stayed in over a two week trip throughout Portugal, with one exception. The host Jose is delightful!

Estoi is a lovely little town.

Estoi is a lovely little town. Please DO NOT GO TO OLHAO though - the police are corrupt and target tourists vehicles. They only clamp hire cars and leave the locals alone, they are a disgrace to the country! The town hall worker (in Olhao) stands about all day and hands ready made maps to tourist to show them where to pay the fines. I will never return to Portugal until these corrupt officials are removed!

The town of Estói is lovely with beautiful walks down the narrow lanes off the Church square. There are cafes, bars and shops. It is possible to walk into the local hills from the town where there are lovely views. There is easy road access to Faro, Olhão, Tavira and other coastal towns all with a great choice and range of restaurants, bars and beautiful buildings. The train along the coast is a great trip. There are ferries from Faro and Olhão to some lovely islands 20 to 30 minutes away. The apartment we stayed in - Estoi Terraces was excellent, spacious and comfy with a lovely outdoor area. Easy parking outside the block. The owner was really friendly and helpful and easy to contact.

We were greeted by Isabel and once checked in, she kindly showed us around and to our room. Although it is very rural, the peace and tranquility are great although Estoi or Sao Bras de Alportel are only about 10 mins drive away. Our room was very comfortable with a good 'fridge and plenty of space with an ample sized balcony overlooking the pool. It was just a shame that the weather was not better otherwise we would have enjoyed having relaxing time around the pool area.

Beautifully presented hotel with traditional interesting furniture pieces that complemented the property. Situated in the centre of the village, close to local amenities and access to the A22 which runs along the whole Algarve. Josè was available if needed but encouraged us to use the hotel with freedom and without being intrusive.

Breakfast was very good, but some of the restaurant staff seemed a bit unfriendly. The hotel is very nice and the two parlor rooms near the restaurants are beautiful. The front desk associates were extremely polite and helpful.
