Er really liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and staff. Even if we asked a lot of questions he was patient and answered everything with a smile and helped us out with the itinerary. A bonus is that it’s right next to a beach where you can see turtles popping their heads up and bioluminescent plankton at night. And it’s a very short drive or a 1km walk to Wadi Shab entrance. And you can find great food in the village a few km away. Rooms were nice and clean as well.

Fig Shades is a great place to relax and a great base to visit Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi/Mibam. Mr. Santosh is a very kind and helpful host! He helped me arrange a trip to Wadi Mibam at a great price by Omani standards, which is great because the road to get there is difficult. There are also 3 restaurants nearby (10 min walk) as well as grocery shops (5-10 min walk). The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool is also nice. When you reach the big tree on the side of the road (the one that’s shown on Google street view), keep going a few meters towards the flyover and you’ll find a ‘Fig Shades’ signboard. If you can’t read Arabic, it’s the hotel next to 'Tiwi Omantel Telephone Exchange’ on Google Maps.

We had a amazing stay ! The hotel in itself is gorgeous, tucked in the middle of palmtrees as well as the pool. The room was well decorated and confortable. The staff is amazingly attentionate, kind and helpful. There even is a cute little café in the hôtel to get drinks by the pool or the terrasse.

Facing the beachfront in Sur, Tiwi Pearl features an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace.

It’s right next to a beautiful beach strip, inside a village that is mostly in ruins but the hotel is new and impeccable. The staff are very nice and caring. The terrace offers a gorgeous view on the sea. It’s a wonderful place to crash for a night or two if you’re going to Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi!

The property was located in a beautiful area near the beach and equidistant to Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi, as well as to local restaurants and laundrettes. The property was incredibly clean with excellent amenities. The building manager, Moinuddin, was incredibly kind, helpful and supportive. He does a great job and much respect to him.

The place only has 6 rooms, so it is quiet. The owner was very helpful and friendly, also the staff was extremely kind. The deluxe room next to the pool was nice and spacious. The room located in the middle of the terrace was small and it did not have a fridge. The villa has a small private beach (steep stairs!). It also has a pool, but it was not heated, in December it was refreshing. It is located very close to the Wadi Shab starting point, you can even walk there. It is far from Tiwi center and restaurants, you need to go there by car. We paid extra for breakfast, which was very rich and tasty (eggs, toasts, sausage, beans, toasts, fruits, tea, juice), the price was 2.5 OMR/person. The view from the terrace to the sea was amazing. Overall we liked the place. But we had better value/price accomodations during our journey in Oman.

The location is perfect if you are visiting Tiwi Beach, Wadi Shab or anything in this area. It has a nice view and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is always around and will help you if you need anything. It is easy to reach by car, and is close to the small center where there are three restaurants and some shops. All of them are locals, which also gives this place a "authentic" vibe. Tiwi Beach is close, and we were so lucky to see turtles swimming around. Here we also got invited for coffee by a family, and got to see how Omanis spend their evening camping at the beach. Would definitely stay here again!
