This was one of my favourite stays on the South Island and we plan on visiting again and staying longer the next time.

St arnaud is the starting point for discovering the delights of Nelson Lakes National Park. The town and the surroundings are extremely picturesque and the walks in the national park remain some of my favourites in the South Island. Beautiful beech forests. Beautiful lake, bush, walks and scenery
Beautiful lake, bush, walks and scenery DOC present their local story very well and very happy to talk to visitors. Great trout fishing - huge eels under the jetty. Very good facilities! All is very local and accessible easily.Guest review byMurrayNew Zealand
