HungaryVery-very kind staff, truly romantic cabin, very clean, good breakfast. Essentially on of the the closest accomodation to the entrance of Calakmul zone entrance. When we were there, the site closes at 1 PM, so it is good to arrive early.

- ever wanted to camp in the jungle with monkeys.
- want to eat some proper home-cooked tacos
- stay as close as possible to Calakmul, the best Mayan ruin in Mexico (still 1 hour drive)
You should not stay here if you:
- hate camping
- want air conditioning
- want to wash in a shower rather than with a bucket
- do not want to be woken by howler monkeys.
This place is an unforgettable experience, but if you're used to comfortable hotels, it's not for you.
Do yourself a favour though: even if you're not going to stay here, stop by for tacos at the outdoor restaurant on the way back from Calakmul, you will not regret it.
