He got me a great price for airport transportation and always wanted to ensure everything was good for his guests. Roberto upgraded me to a larger room with a really comfortable king bed, which I truly appreciated.
The hotel has a pretty outside sitting area in front and a small pool in the back, perfect for relaxing. The area has a mall and grocery store very close by, but there isn't a large selection of restaurants. The wifi was strong...I had to work and had no issues at all.
I enjoyed my stay at Villa Sofia...I think you will, too!

We loved the Presidential suite we did not have to leave the room only if we chose to. We had 24 hr butler service and great drinks throughout the night. Cancun was wonderful! Take Uber if needed instead of taxis. They have busses that are reasonably priced as well. Sat Mexico Tour Group have great tours going to Chichen Itza and a beautiful cenote. Cesar and Luis with Sat Mexico Tour Group are my recommendation. Very good! Senor Frog was an fun time and the food was delicious! This property was peaceful and quiet, we went into the touristy part of Cancun twice and also did a day trip to the pyramid ruins, it was a nice mixture of experiences for us. Harry's steakhouse the last night was an incredible meal, as was the small restaurant next to the pool on property. Some parts of town we were constantly followed with people trying to sell souvenirs, tours, transportation, etc., that got pretty annoying. Cancun has more resorts than there are stars in the sky--it's pretty nuts! It's great that families have tons of options as far as all-inclusive resorts go. You can go all out and pay thousands per night, or go on-the-cheap and find a resort that offers subpar food, but still beach-front. I loved Chichen Itza, the cenotes, and the food. You can get REALLY great and authentic food if you leave the resort areas and drive to the center of the city. There's an area that has tons of vendors and the food is insanely good! I personally don't think I'll ever return to Cancun, as it's not the best for a single gay guy. Playa Del Carmen would be more my style, as there is more to do for single people. I think we goofed up in staying around the major resort area of Cancun. The resorts pretty much control a lot of the coast, except for a little sliver. It's great for families for sure, but not really for single people. But the warm waters of the beaches was astounding! I'm from Southern California and our beaches are freezing, year-round! I definitely enjoyed myself, as there is much to do, including some world class restaurants. But I think Puerto Vallarta is more my jam.Guest review byAntonioUnited States
