St. Julian’s is a very lively area, full of restaurants, bars, and nightlife, and it’s well served by public transport. However, it really depends on what you’re looking for. I assume its a good place if you are single and you want to party and meet new people. For everybody else its a shallow place with nothing there to see, way too crowded during the night in high season with people that are half dressed, drunk and very vocal. During the day the smell is horrendous in some areas from last night's parties because of the trash and the vomit. It's a nice place with many shops, the beach and the museum nearby. Many facilities are within walking distance. Also the tourist bus passes through St Julians. It was my second visit @ ME HOTEL and St JULIAN'S this year. The people are friendly. At first I was scared this was going to be some kind of party area of the city, but luckily I was wrong. At night, it was very quiet except for the promenade. So it was a really good location because you could have your quiet but also enjoy the lively environment of the sea promenade if you wished so by just walking a few hundred meters. Regarding transportations, it was super easy to come around, with all the buses to major destination in just a half kilometer-one kilometer radius, but be mindful that traffic in Malta is kind of heavy and to go to any other municipality it takes quite longer than you would expect (for instance, to go from St. Julian to Mdina it took my almost 1h and 30 minutes, even though they are actually so close)Guest review byAnaSpain - 8.0

It is very busy in St Julians and Paceville is geared up for the youngsters. There was loads of people near the pubs and clubs in Paceville. A lot of people just barge past you and have no etiquette. Bars are mixed with some are cheap and others are expensive. Same with restaurants. You need to research the area to get the best deals on bars and restaurants. There are late night supermarkets open. Bars and restaurants open late too Spinola bay and ballutta bay are more scenic which has lovely views. The room was HUGE. I’ve never been to a hotel room this big anywhere in Europe. The room was spotless that I was very impressed. Somebody even took time to make sure there are no water stains on the tap and the shower partition. Kudos to the staff. Well speaking of the staff, everyone was so nice and welcoming!
