The town is blessed by a glorious setting, the emerald green bay with steep mountains as a dramatic backdrop. The town itself is graced with more stylish Venetian palazzos that you can shake a stick at. But Kotor also suffers from the curse of colossal cruise ships, which can flood the tiny town with hundreds of tourists at once, even in October. There are lovely walks either side of the bay with cafes that have the most scenic views imaginable. It's a good way to get away from the crowds and to enjoy the spectacular panorama. If I had my time again, I would spend three nights in Kotor instead of six and spend at least two nights in Perast, an improbably picturesque spot.

Lovely place that can get very busy when boats are in the dock. It has small streets and this can sometimes be difficult to walk down when thousands of people descend on the city! The surroundings are gorgeous, with some lovely food to be found. The people are very friendly and helpful too. There are numerous people selling boats trips to Perast and other places -- definitely worth it. It is on the pricey side and, because it's quite touristy, there's a lot of ways money is forced out of you. Beware: There's no Uber or Bolt or anything like that, so taxis can charge what they like. They try and charge 15 euros to walk up to the fort (there is a longer way around that is free). Every cash machine charges 5 euros to take any money out, so take some with you, or take large amounts out.

Beautiful old town, essential to take a boat trip along the bay to view the majestic mountains. The cable car is also a great activity, not only do you get a view of Kotor Bay but when you get to the top there is a lot to explore. The roads are very busy so it takes a while to get around. Essential to book a taxi before you arrive at the airport as the taxis from there are very expensive. Absolutely amazing scenery. Very busy old town as cruise liners arrive daily.

The town has lovely old buildings .

The town has lovely old buildings . However, it is like walking through a shopping arcade full of tourist tack. Lots of bars and restaurants. But very little genuine residential buildings. A beautiful town inundated with tourists.

The Bay of Kotor is stunning.

The Bay of Kotor is stunning. The Old Town is lovely to walk around. Just time your visit to the old town to avoid the cruise ships!. The cable car is a experience you and get the tickets & the shuttle bus from the bus station, the price is 30 euros pp which includes shuttle & cable car. If you need a taxi to take you home from the old town is costs 10 euros, agree a price with the driver.

I rate this house 10 stars! We were pleasantly surprised by its prime location in the old town of Kotor, Montenegro. This allowed us to easily walk and enjoy the charming scenery and local eateries. The ability to cook in the well-equipped kitchen was a great bonus. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the heart of Kotor. ~ Love from Malaysia

Very good - What previous guests thought, 127 reviews
Our bus was delayed so we arrived way after checkin of 8pm. Host met us personally to hand over keys to us. There was no kettle and Mirko bought a new one., By the time we were back from the days outing, kettle was at flat! Also we asked for late checkout and Mirko assisted. We also had place to leave our bags until our late afternoon, departure from Montenegro. Location is awesome, in the middle of Old Town.

The room, the pool and garden, breakfast, hosts, all absolutely brilliant! Would recommend the property to anyone visiting Montenegro. On the quieter side of the bay which was great for us, with some really nice restaurants close by if you don't want to head towards the Old Town. Nigel and Phillip gave us some great recommendations and were brilliant hosts, thanks again!

Good sized room with an extremely comfortable bed. Nice shower facilities. Just off the square in the old town. I was concerned about the noise from the square and the clock tower but you do t notice it. Best place we stayed on our whole trip of Croatia and Montenegro.
