This review hardly does justice to the incredible experience we had during our stay. Nestled amidst lush greenery, Casa Heliconia offers a unique and immersive experience that transports you to a world of natural beauty and tranquility. The property is a work of art in itself, with meticulously designed gardens and exquisite attention to detail. Every corner of this boutique retreat is a photo-worthy moment waiting to be captured. The staff at Casa Heliconia are genuinely exceptional. From the warm welcome upon our arrival to the personalized service throughout our stay, they went above and beyond to make us feel like valued guests. The level of attentiveness and professionalism demonstrated by the team was truly remarkable. The dining experience at Casa Heliconia was a culinary delight. Each meal was a culinary masterpiece, featuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The chef's creativity shone through in every dish, and we were constantly surprised and delighted by the flavors and presentations.

Beautiful mansion in the middle of greenery with centennial trees overshading the house and pool. Perfect location for digital detox: no TV, no A/C, but the nature sounds and cooling canopy provide for better views, sounds and breeze. The swimming pool and adjacent patio are awesome for after dips and drinks. Just bear in mind to bring mosquito repellent as in all locations in this area.

The host and the care taker were very flexible with check in and check out times and process. Close to Gampaha town centre but not yet in the town centre so has idyllic nature to it. It is an old family home carefully converted to a guest house. Selva the care taker was kind and attentive.

The room was spotlessly clean. It had soap, shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush kit, two kinds of slippers (soft ones and waterproof ones), international power socket adapters, tea and coffee, an electric kettle, cups, plates and cutlery. The hotel is conveniently locatied near the airport and a railway station. The owner took me from the airport in his car for free. The A/C is quiet and can be switched into dark mode.
