The host and his family are exceptionally friendly, helpful and extremely hospitable. The location is perfect for anyone arriving from the airport heading inland, since it is close to the railroad (without being close enough to hear it). The town is the perfect place to acclimatise to Sri Lankan life and heat, and gives you a unique opportunity to explore village life off the beaten track. The rooms have everything you need and the breakfast is overwhelmingly delicious. All in all, we would recommend going here straight from the airport, rather crowded and noisy Colombo

The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had a late arrival due to a delayed flight and he was so accommodating and woke up at very early hours to check us in. He also allowed us to stay later than check in to catch up on some sleep. He cooked us a lovely lunch and arranged our transport, very resourceful!

The peaceful surroundings, combined with the quiet environment, created the perfect place to unwind. The rooftop area was an added delight, offering a lovely space to relax and enjoy the view. Breakfast was excellent, featuring a delicious Sri Lankan-style spread with great quality and variety. The location is ideal for a tranquil escape while still being conveniently close to Gampaha city, making it easy to access shops and restaurants. From here, you can also travel easily by train—whether pre-booked online or with regular tickets—to destinations like Ella, Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Hikkaduwa, and Mirissa. I highly recommend Gampaha Heritage for anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and enjoyable stay in Gampaha.

I am surprise how this doesn't even have any reviews yet. The place was perfect and is located near a waterfall and it was really calm and relaxing. We had the perfect get away the staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. Highly recommended
