Everything was absolutely perfect! The location quiet and calm, the amazing staff, the great pool (!!) they take really good care of the guests and of the hotel, everything was so clean. Really comfortable beds, recommend 100%!

Everything. THE PLACE IS THE PLACE TO BE IN YALA. The sunset and the view are amazing, staff super helpful and kind, the style and the interior design are beyond expectations with a magical and unique touch of sri lankan artisanal excellences. we have dinners and breakfast memorable and super tasty. The best stay we had in our entire trip around Sri Lanka! Just can’t recommend it enough! Very clean room, big clean bathroom with hot shower and an amazing yard with lake view. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast, some of the best meals we had. Lovely host and very attentive with our needs. Hardworking staff - the results are impeccable. They also arranged a wonderful safari trip, we would like to also thank Indika for making sure we have an amazing experience! Thank you Saffron Lake Yala! 🥰

Staff couldn’t do enough to help us… helped us out when we were short for cash for our safari (!), let us check out late, extremely friendly and turns out the owner does a lot for animal protection and conservation of the park! Not to mention the amazing setting and pool area!

The room is extremely clean. Everything he gave us was fresh from his garden. We wish we spent more time there! Randy, the owner, took us on a tour (he gave us HIS motorbike to ride around and he was riding his bicycle) to see his garden and his village. We stopped and went fishing. He explained so many things around the area. He also gave us binoculars to watch birds. We enjoyed this more than our Yala Safari!! The day we checked out, I forgot a precious gold and diamond necklace in the room. As soon as Randy saw it, he informed us, but we were already in our next stop (3 and a half hours away). He insisted on bringing it (we suggested shipping, but he refused as "it could be stolen"). He rode public transportation to bring it to Mirissa and went back 3 and a half hours again immediately.

The accommodation is next to rice field for a totally different experince and fantastic view. The room is very spacious with very good aircon and hot water for shower. There is good wifi and many power points to charge multiple mobiles and laptop all at the same time. There is a small refrigerator, kettle, and cups with tea, coffee provided. There is hanging rack for clothing. The room even has a call button if we need to communicate with him. He responded to whatsapp promptly. The host Saradh is very accommodating and always going out of his way to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. He served us welcome juice upon arrival and returning from Yala safari. Breakfast is delicious with local menu and in big serving with varieties. He packed for us adequate breakfast for us to bring along for the safari. He helped us arranged Yala safari and help us with transport for our next destination. He ensured we had a very comfortable stay. We were well taken care of throughout our stay and very happy with the service extended. Highly recommended to choose Village Mango Resort Yala if we visit Tissa for Yala safari.

This was the best hotel in our stay in Sri Lanka. From the moment we came we felt like at home. Staff was really amazing, welcoming they also gave us welcome drink. Rooms we clean, big, everything was new. Bed was super comfy, AC was working really good. I would definitely recommend eating here and having some of their refreshing drinks both are really amazing and for good price. They were constantly checking if we need something and if we wanted something they brought it quickly. The service here is absolutely amazing and staff is so kind. They also handled our safari tour which was unforgettable experience. They made us great offer so we couldn’t say no. They have really experienced driver. He knew exactly where to go to find every animal possible. He also explained everything in detail, it was very informative. They packed also water and food for us for safari tour which was really nice. Overall this was absolutely terrific stay and we regret not to stay longer because this hotel and staff is just amazing in every aspect. I would recommend everyone to book this hotel. Be aware there are Lot of mosquitoes in that area so prepare yourselves for that.
