Beautiful small island with lots of breathtaking places and spots for snorkeling. The further you move from the Zamami village the more quiet is gets. We went to the more remoted beaches to walk around and were the only people there for couple of hours. Most of the places are easily accessible by bike that can be rented either at hotel or in the main village. There are few restaurant, but always book a table. Often they don't accept guests without reservation, likely due to portion limitations.Guest review byHorakova - 10.0
Zamami is quiet and very natural.
Zamami is quiet and very natural. We stayed near the port and there are two nice beaches within walking distance. The town is very quiet ad peaceful. we rented scooters and drove around the island - a great way to see spectacular views. I recommend 3 nights. Be sure to book restaurants for dinner as its a small town and the restaurants fill up quickly. We really enjoyed eating at the hotel but would have liked to have tried a few other places too. The local authorities definitely need to figure out these two obvious issues including the overprice to tourists and the depression of local residents. We got to see turtles at Ama Beach which was wonderful.
We got to see turtles at Ama Beach which was wonderful. We also rented an electric ‘car’ for 4 hours ($50) and were able to ride around the entire island. The accommodation (Blue Marine) was conveniently located and the breakfast and dinner (included in our arrangement) were top-notch. Take food with you if you are going off-season!!!! It’s very difficult to find food. There are two small stores selling snacks/ beer but that’s about it. Oh, the fresh seafood takeaway place is open early and sells very delicious ( and huge) onigiri plus fried fish ( ONE PIECE=¥100). There’s nothing else open in the morning.Guest review byRoleneJapan

Tsukasa and Kumar both made sure that everything was taken care of and they would arrange car pick-ups to the beaches, and also the ferry, as we had luggage to carry. The hotel is in a good quiet location, but still very close to the ferry and bars and restaurants. The lovely Furuzamami Beach is 15mins walk away. Ama beach is super near and the sunset from there is amazing. The food was delicious, a typical traditional Japanese dinner. The hosts were amazing, they picked me up at the port and helped me a lot to organize my itinerary in Zamami Islands.
