I recommend: Warabekan - Toy Museum; Jinpukaku Mansion (closed until 2029 but still a beautiful place to visit); Tottori Castle Ruins (the park has great city views) and UNESCO Global Geopark - Tottori Sand Dunes. Exceptional place with mountain and sea being side by side.
Exceptional place with mountain and sea being side by side. I got to see better Fall colors than Kansai region. Sand Dunes (small area) in this weather and geography is also unexpected, frankly the dune was taller than what I saw in Dubai. Flight taking off closer to sea shore and when you look at other side window, it is mountains. The place is a geological wonder in my view.Guest review byAnnapoorani - 10.0
One word- UNDERRATED!
One word- UNDERRATED! I had 5x as much fun here than expected. Sand Dunes? Sure, cool. But the list is long: the impressive Uradome Coast, the cute Hakuto Shrine for lovers, Chinese Garden Enchoen with cheap Chinese dress experience, Togo Lake surrounded by onsens, Mt Daisen dressed in its best autumn colors.... and everything is super fun! I can't recommend this destination more. Just brace for some challenging public transport. It's doable by buses etc. though. Use Japan Transit Planner app if Google Maps doesn't show you the route. I was here 5 days but I think 6 would be better (I wanted to see Shoji Ueda Museum of Photography and a yokai manga museum).Guest review byAntoinette XIJapan - 8.0

Was a great family trip.
Was a great family trip. We enjoyed a lot sand dunes and museum. Kodomonokoukoku park was also above expectations. The sea clean and nice. Spent there only 2 days, but wished we could stay a bit longer and see all the coastal line.Guest review byNataliaUkraine

The kindest lady host in the place, willing to help if you have any trouble. She took care of us, and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were the best. Spacious and beautiful room with the astonishing view of the beach and sea. Also, if you’re willing to visit Tottori’s sand dunes, there is great transport from there. There is one locker next to the bed for traveler to put something important. This is a considerate design.
