We had an amazing stay at this Japanese guesthouse! The house is exquisitely beautiful, with modern furniture that blends style and comfort seamlessly. It was a beautiful property nestled atop a nice restaurant serving local produce. The flat was bright and spacious, it was incredibly quiet at night. Our best stay out of 18 properties we’ve stayed at over a month in Kyushu.

The rooms are amazing little cabins that are cozy warm in the winter and very well designed. The bath is deep and allows you to feel like you are bathing in nature. The food in the restaurant was incredible. They adapted the menu for me to vegetate it was among the best meals I’ve had in Japan. The onsen is awesome too with warm baths that look out over the river. Magical! The fact they have a mixed section is great. Swimming costumes provided.

The hotel is easy to locate. Room is big and comfortable for our family of 4. It is clean and well equipped. Good value for money. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was sufficient and satisfactory, not to mention delicious.

We are 6 friends from Malaysia and was our first visit to Yunohira, a little onsen town. We are thankful to choose to stay at Ryokan Yamashiroya. The host is very responsive to our queries before our trip and during our stay. After we parked the car at the allocated parking lot, the host fetched all of us to the ryokan on a narrow road and this save our energy lugging our luggages to the ryokan. We enjoyed our stay in the spacious and clean rooms plus the few private onsen were a bonus to us! We also enjoyed the sumptous dinner and breakfast in a private room with wearing the yukata for photos. Upon our checkout, the host fetched all of us back to our car. Highly recommended!
