I love this place--and I can't remember the last time I wrote that on a booking.com review. Brand new wooden cabins squeezed in a tight valley in the middle of the woods, next to a little stream of water. The lodges owner lives in a cabin next door, warm welcome and always willing to help. The cabin was squeaky clean, had everything I could desire and even more (a piano!). The private onsen is a few steps away from the cabin, if you want something more social there's plenty of public onsens around (one down the road has a view on the river). Quiet, fresh air, plenty of hikes a short drive away. I stayed in the middle of winter, heating and thermal insulations were on point.

All was perfect - if you want a private stay in a wonderful surrounding, off the tourist paths, this is the right place! Private onsen is great and the two other onsen-huts offer great views to nature, while relaxing. A lot of nice trails and hikes along beautiful rivers available nearby. Would def recommend and book again. Greets Seb

A very beautiful Onsen with amazing staff! They really make you feel very welcome and very special. The staff would always catch up for a chat and went out of their way to give us little extras on many occasions!

Staff service was over any expectations, they informed me about the transport situation before I got there and helped me arranging my trip back. The tea in the rooms comes from their fields and is so good. The facility has an old history and is well maintained and beautiful, no need to even mention the onsen inside.. Very good, I recommend to anyone
