Very friendly owner and staff and the food was great! We stayed two nights and got completely different meals for dinner, which were both fantastic. You can go to the next door hotel for nice open-air onsen and mention the ryokan and get a discounted entry ticket, and the onsen is really nice.

We loved staying in this traditional Jaoanese mountain lodge! It was a new and different experience. Great scenery and peaceful surroundings. Daisuke-san and Yumiko-san were such warm and hospitable hosts. Yumiko-san's cooking was awesome. Our kids love their stay here and the resident cats. We love to be back again someday!

Comfort, location, amenities, owners were helpful, responsive and friendly. Had a great stay in a beautiful area, close to lots of sights in Iya Valley! Would recommend at least two nights to get the most out of the accommodation and area
