This hotel was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building is newly renovated, stylish, and very comfortable, with everything we needed during our stay. The staff were exceptionally kind and always ready to help. One moment really showed how special this place is: we lost our bag in Venice, most likely taken by mistake in the crowds on the boats. With thousands of tourists around, the chances of getting it back felt almost impossible. But the hotel staff immediately supported us, and thanks to their help the people who had taken it by mistake actually returned it directly to the hotel. That level of care and service is rare, and it turned what could have been a stressful trip into a memory we will always treasure. We warmly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We LOVED this hotel!! What an absolute gem! The staff are fantastic, the room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was beautiful. Having a small terrace and outdoor jacuzzi was magical - even in cold weather, it was refreshing! Watching the sun rise over the rooftops of Venice was stunning!

We loved the absence of motor vehicles, just people walking everywhere. The seafood was great! We enjoyed a tour of Doge's Palace, and a tour of Burano and Murano (including a glass blowing demonstration).

    We visited in mid October.

We visited in mid October. The weather was lovely and I imagine the crowds are smaller than during the summer. Venice still seemed busy but we didn't feel overwhelmed. Book in advance for Saint Mark's Basilica; we didn't and it was sold out the day we tried to visit. Murano is well worth a visit. A water taxi to and from the airport is a real treat and I recommend it if your budget can stretch to it - the drivers seem to prefer cash to cards! We managed to circumnavigate most of the island on the 7 and 4.1 vaporettos and this was a great way to see the sights. We also did a walking tour - The Venice Only the Locals Know which was fantastic.

We visited in October, weather was lovely. Venice is busy we all know that, but October seemed not so bad. Staying on the main land gave us the opportunity to wonder the streets early morning and late night. It all felt safe.

If you are looking to explore Italy for the first time, you...

If you are looking to explore Italy for the first time, you should not miss Venice. It's an ancient city with numerous things to learn about, including culture, food, history, and more. The best time to go is during the Fall season, as places are not that crowded. You must always haggle/bargain when buying souvenirs, as products tend to be pricey for tourists.

What's not to love about Venice?

What's not to love about Venice? From the vaporetto and water taxi's on the grand canal to people watching whilst sipping a coffee or a venetian spritzer at St Marks Square. There's so much to see and do in this mystical and magical city. A trip to Venice needs to include a gondola ride - we paid 90 euros for a 30 minute day time session - well worth it and a great experience. Note that evening experiences are slightly more expensive. We did the Murano, Burano and Torcello experience whilst we were there which I would recommend - a little insight into the venetian way of life for the people on those islands provided a lovely day trip experiencing local foods and customs. We also enjoyed a beautiful evening concert listening and watching the orchestra play Vivaldi's Four Seasons which is another must do if time permits. Finally don't forget the Rialto and the Accademia Bridges - both are beautiful and have lots to do in and around them. All in all a dream of a weekend for us and a place we will come and visit again in the future.

Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,566 reviews
Clean, comfortable, very friendly staff around 24/7, and our favourite stay of our whole trip around Italy. This hotel is in a quiet part of Venice, but not far away from the Grand Canal and other touristy spots in Venice. Our room overlooked the canal and the staff really looked after us! The bed was super comfy and the shower was wonderful - it was perfect for our few days stay in Venice. I also liked the fact the hotel staff would hold onto your room keys while you were out, which removed the stress of possibly losing them.

Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,659 reviews
The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station and right outside the hotel you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants. During our trip to Italy, we stayed at four different hotels, and by far the staff at Hotel Guerrini were the friendliest and most accommodating we’ve ever met. They were very flexible and kindly allowed us to leave our bags after we check-out, so we could explore while waiting for our train. We also appreciated their reasonably priced drinks - the best value we found in Venice.

We had an amazing experience at Residenza Ducato in Venice. Paola and Valentina were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was impeccably clean, and our room was always spotless. Despite its central location, the hotel was wonderfully quiet, allowing for restful nights. Plus, it's perfectly situated, just a short walk from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. This was the best experience we've had during our many travels throughout Italy. Highly recommended!

The owners of the property ensured that even little details were taken care of e.g other than water, soft drinks were provided foc and the toiletries kit was even more comprehensive than that of hotels. Breakfast was a good spread of cold cuts, cheese, cornflakes. This was the best hotel out of the 4 we stayed during our Italy holiday (and the rest are all very good as well).

I would stay I had best time of my life in Venice mainly because of this hotel. I stayed 5 nights and I was upgraded to Junior suit. The suit was spacious, tastefully decorated and was astonishingly cleaned 2 to 3 times a day without us knowing. The breakfast spread was big with vegan choices and delicious. Location is fabulous bang on Grand canal.
