We were based in Polignano since it’s closer to Alberobello, Ostuni and Locorotondo, which we visited. For my mother, who uses a walker, 3-4 days were just right, but the rest of us could stay and explore Puglia towns for longer. Stunning cliffside town with a vibrant vacation scene. Dramatic beach set between the cliffs. Beautiful pedestrian-only streets filled with wonderful restaurants and shops. Many boat tour options to explore the caves and enjoy the spectacular coastline. We enjoyed the beaches, food and beautiful views of the water. The people are warm and friendly. Polignano a Mare was recommended to us during our travel in Italy and we changed our itinerary to get there. It was the best decision we made! This is a stunningly beautiful place to visit and great location to base yourself at. Polignano a Mare is a must see, and from here you can easily visit other areas. We stayed at the beautiful Santo Stefano Bed n Breakfast in the old town. It is a beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and incredibly well run boutique hotel. Our host Antonio was just exceptional! He responded to our every request with a warm smile and relentless cheerfulness and he went out of his way to make sure we were perfectly looked after throughout our stay. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. The pool was pristine and blissfully quiet.
