We found Metaponto a peculiar town, but do not regret having visit it. The reason for our visit was that said town is the town in which Pythagoras died. Presumably everyone's travels are individually motivated. In our case the hotel we picked suited best our visit to Metaponto. Franco was very helpful with everything. Our room, in a nearby annexe was basic but spacious and comfortable with a nice balcony. A good breakfast was provided each morning in their restaurant and we also ate there in the evening as there wasn't much else around. It was a great, restful stay.
