Hotel Cala Buguto is the perfect place to relax and an excellent base to explore the beautiful beaches nearby. The hotel is very well maintained, super clean, and peacefully located—just about 10 minutes on foot (800 meters) from the stunning Baia Cornino beach. Baia Cornino was very quiet with friendly locals, and surprisingly calm even though we visited in early July. The setting is idyllic, with Monte Cofano in backround. I would always prefer this location over San Vito Lo Capo, which tends to be much busier. Valentina is a wonderful host who gave us the best tips for exploring the area, including beaches and the best local spots in Erice and Trapani. Her breakfast is legendary—every morning she prepared a variety of sweet and savory traditional dishes for guests. You can really see her love for cooking and baking in everything she serves. She offered different cakes, freshly made cannoli, traditional toast, and everything was delicious and fresh. We had the best cannoli on the entire island at Valentina’s place. We would love to come back!

The sheer quality of the staff/service provided! For me, a 6* rating, despite the 3* - presumably due to the off site location of parking facilities; not ideal. In particular, a senior waiter in the restaurant - Renato. His general professionalism/ coupled with his knowledge of cuisine and P R added substantially to the enjoyment of our stay! The hotel is well-located, for travellers with a car, in the countryside a short drive (10 minutes) to the sea or Scopello village (which is charming). There is generous parking and a good restaurant above the hotel. The tiled, covered verandah outside every room had simple but comfortable outdoor furniture and a rack to dry towels and swimmers. The pool is a plus though I went to the seaside. Very good landscaping with well-maintained gardens. Very friendly, competent staff. I thought the breakfast (included) was good. There was a lot to choose from: cereal with hot or cold milk, yogurt, toast with jams, croissants, cheeses, hams as well as a variety of sweet bakery items. The coffee was good (this is Italy). My single room was simply furnished but pleasant and very practical. It was in good condition considering it is now 20 years since this hotel was built. Everything worked! The bathroom was a comfortable size even though the shower cubicle is small. The room felt secure with good window and door fittings.

Set around 30 mins away (by car) from most of the interesting stuff around the area, we found Buseto Palizzolo to be the perfect location to stay and planned our stay around it. A few of the interesting nearby places included San Vito Lo Capo beach, Mount Erice, Grotta Mangiapane, Castellammare del Golfo, Trapani Centre, Segesta Temple and Marsala among others. Views are spectacular and the area is very quiet. Would highly recommend for a trip with a rental car.

Great place for people travelling with their motorcycles and need a safe and secure place to park them at night. The restaurant Trattoria Peppe e Nino, round the corner is not to be missed. Delicious food at very good prices. Top places to visit; Erice, hot springs, nearby beaches. Note there are very little restaurant options in the region.

The owners, Giovanna and her husband are very pleasant. They took great care of us and were always available to welcome us, even when we returned late from our excursions. The location is perfect for excursions, the local pizzeria is fantastic and within walking distance (200 meters). The breakfasts Giovanna prepared for us were absolutely delicious and incomparable to what we had at other hotels during our stay in Sicily. We are very grateful to Giovanna and her family for their hospitality!

Great location to explore Erice, San Vito Lo Capo, Trapani, Zingaro and surroundings. Buseto Palizzolo is a very nice town and the hotel is close to a good restaurant (Peppe e Nino). Fantastic breakfast with local food and fruits from the garden. Giovanna and Baldo are great and make sure all guests are happy and well taken care of. I'd certainly come back.
