Such a lovely quiet countryside hotel - which was super convenient as the bus from Florence dropped us off at the bottom of the drive!! We were there for a wedding in local castle & the owner very kindly offered to drop us as it was 30min drive in sweltering heat. We walked as we wanted to appreciate the views. The pool was perfect & we had such a lovely relaxed time reading our books & staying away from the high sun! Breakfast was substantial continental spread & we had a super tasty omelette on first morning.

La Casa Rossa is a beautiful and peaceful place, made even more special by the amazing hosts, Elonia and Jurgen. They were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel right at home. Lisa is the perfect host, and every day (even before arrival) she is ready to help with reccomendations nd answer on all possible questions. Also, appartment is very clean and well equiped. Additional plus is that every appartment has its own yard or terrace, so, eating a breakfast with a view on Tuscany hills is definitely breathtaking. And to add - location is great for day trips around - Siena, (1 hr), San Gimignano (40 min), Lucca (1 hr), and so on.

Elisa and Alessandro were really lovely and were flexible in satisfying my late check-in request. The room was spacious, clean, and everything was comfortable and new. I liked the shared facilities for the breakfast too. The location is a great starting point to explore Certaldo alto, and the price was very fair.
