The Valley of the Temples is a good reason for visiting...
The Valley of the Temples is a good reason for visiting Agrigento - otherwise there is not much to the town. Lots of streets with steps in the Old Town (which is much more interesting to stay in) as it covers a big hill. Indications for people who driving there are poor, I was lost, I pass in front the entrance without realizing it, poor indicators. I stop and I find another car lost too. The car parking too expensive, the entrance tickets expensive, I went really early before there were too many people, I was able to take selfies for the more important monuments without any wait line. You must be ready with plenty of water, if you are going in summer time because its a really long walk under very strong summer lights. I guess you must see it at least once on your life, like everything relevant from our pass times. Obviously I am a simply tourist without knowledge about architecture. My hosts were great.
My hosts were great. When returning from Salle del Turchi, some man wasn’t paying attention and opened his car door as I was passing and I was going slow as there was traffic, and the rental is scratched significantly and I will most likely have to pay for repairs. People drive way too fast. It’s an ok place to visit. If I had planned exactly what to do, besides the Temple ruins, it would have been better.Guest review byRobbinUnited States

Enza, the host, is so lovely, kind and welcoming, we felt at home right away. She then invited us that evening to watch the sunset from her summer house, just up the hill from the property. They took us to the Valley of the Temples, to Scala dei Turchi. Helped us organise a guide to the temples. My wife’s suitcase broke and they took us to where the locals buy their luggage. Even offered to dispose of the broken luggage. They booked a restaurant for us on our first night as they could see we were tired, it was only 400metres away.
